Albie Basson

CHAIRMAN OF KÖNIGSTEIN CAPITAL

After completing his studies and accountancy training in Stellenbosch and Cape Town, Albie moved to Namibia in 1979. He became a partner in 1982 and later served as managing partner of KPMG Namibia. In 1998 he became the managing director of ABN Amro Namibia which later became Investment House Namibia and is now known as PSG Namibia, a very successful stockbroking and wealth management firm in Windhoek. In 2003 he moved to the Capricorn Investment Holdings / Bank Windhoek group and during his time there, he was instrumental in successfully growing the corporate finance, advisory and corporate banking functions to a very competitive player in the market.

 

Albie founded Königstein Capital in 2009. 

 

Throughout his career he has served on a number of boards of directors and committees including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Namibia, the Public Accountant’s and Auditors Board and the listings committee of the Namibian Stock Exchange. He currently serves as independent director on a number of boards including that of Capricorn Investment Holdings, Nam-mic Financial Services Holdings, the Electricity Control Board and the Development Bank of Namibia.

  

Arno Louw

CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER OF KCPIF & KAHF

 

Arno qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002 after completing articles at KPMG. He also obtained a post graduate diploma in taxation from Unisa in 2005. In 2002 he joined the Corporate Banking Division of Bank Windhoek in charge of the structured finance and corporate finance advisory portfolio. The Bank Windhoek group later moved this portfolio to Capricorn Capital where Arno served as Executive Director until 2012. During his career he has been instrumental in a number of large financing transactions in Namibia.

Albert obtained his B. Acc degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2006 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2011 after completing articles at Moore Stephens VDA. He then joined Zeder Investments, a JSE listed investment holding company that forms part of the PSG Group. He worked there as an investment analyst until late 2014, obtaining invaluable experience in the listed and unlisted investment sectors.

Etiigwana Itope

Finance and compliance oFFICER OF königstein CAPITAL

 

Etiigwana completed her studies at the University of the Free State where she obtained her B.Acc Honours Degree. She completed her articles at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Windhoek and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2014. Prior to leaving PwC, she worked as senior audit manager in the Audit and Assurance division where she was in charge of the International Development Aid portfolio.
